Music lovers in the Twin Cities have had the opportunity recently to enjoy live performances by Israeli jazz stars Matan Klein and Anat Cohen. For those wondering about other great musicians from the Jewish state, check out the recent album Resonance (Jazz Legacy Productions) by 28-year-old guitarist Yotam. The Tel Aviv native’s expressive, fleet playing is a delight to the ears. Yotam is backed by some acclaimed players, including bassist Christian McBride, who will lead his own group at the Dakota next week. Roy Hargrove also plays trumpet on two tracks. Hopefully, someone will book Yotam and his band for a live date soon. — M.S.
