“Medusa” by Mirjana Mladinov is among the works featured in “The Life of Plenty,” which opens Jan. 8 in the Tychman Shapiro Gallery at the Sabes JCC in St. Louis Park. Mladinov, a former St. Paul JCC staffer who now lives in Arizona, will share the exhibit space with Minnesota artist Laura Migliorino. Both bodies of work will address the lifestyles of today. Through ceramic sculpture, Mladinov focuses on the aftermath of what humans leave behind. For Migliorino, her multilayered photographs document the diversity that exists in the suburbs. An opening reception will take place on Jan. 8, beginning with an artist talk at 6 p.m. For information on the exhibit and the reception, see the Twin Cities Calendar listing on Page 6. — Erin Elliott
