Brooklyn-based, Juilliard-trained classical pianist Simone Dinnerstein and North Carolina native singer-songwriter Tift Merritt explore the vast musical terrain between their backgrounds in the new album Night. The duo will perform 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11 at the Dakota Jazz Club, 1010 Nicollet Ave., Minneapolis.
This evening will feature new music by Patty Griffin, Brad Mehldau and Philip Lasser, and reinterpretations of music by Franz Schubert, Cat Stevens and Johnny Nash.
