Richard Logan, a member of Congregation Or Emet and retired professor of human development at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, was a guest on NBC’s Today Show on May 6.
Together with Tere Duperrault Fassbender, Logan talked about their new book, Alone: Orphaned on the Ocean (Titletown Publishing, LLC).
Duperrault Fassbender was just 11 years old when her entire family was murdered on a sailboat near the Bahamas in 1961, and the killer attempted to leave her to die aboard the sinking ship. Instead, she escaped and survived for four days in the open sea before being rescued by a Greek freighter.
Logan and Duperrault Fassbender have known one another for more than 20 years.
