Mount Zion Temple will host a “drive-thru” sukka in its parking lot at Syndicate and Summit Avenues in St. Paul. Also, a “run-thru” sukka will open on the street during the Twin Cities Marathon.The public is invited to visit the sukkot 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7.
The open sukkot are meant to raise awareness of homelessness and food insecurity in Minnesota. Sukka guests are asked to bring donations of food for Neighborhood House food shelf.
Those visiting the sukkot will be invited to spend time in them, and to take part in the ritual of shaking the lulav (palm branches) and etrog (citron).
