The front page of the June 9, 1967 edition of the American Jewish World focused on support for Israel during what would come to be called the Six-Day War. A national UJA Emergency Fund sought to raise $150 million from American Jews. In Minneapolis, prior to a community rally for Israel, 25 large donors dined and raised $750,000 for the Jewish state.
