Leaders from more than 12 different faith communities will offer words of consolation and inspiration during a 9/11 memorial 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11 at the Minnesota State Capitol, 75 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.,ӬSt. Paul. A musical prelude will begin at 1 p.m.
Among the participants from the Jewish community will be Rabbi Marcia Zimmerman, of Temple Israel; Rabbi Morris Allen, of Beth Jacob Congregation; and Steve Hunegs, executive director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas.
Government leaders, including Gov. Mark Dayton, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, and other elected officials; and members of law enforcement, military, firemen and EMS personnel will represent those who serve. Other participants will be local musicians and artists, including an all-volunteer orchestra.
