In Darkness, an Academy Award nominee for Best Foreign Language Film, is now available on DVD and Blu-ray from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Agnieszka Holland, is based on the true story of an ordinary sewer worker and petty thief who saved a group of Jews from Nazi persecution in Poland by hiding them in the town’s sewers. Both the DVD and Blu-ray editions include a featurette with director Holland, and a conversation between Holland and Krystyna Chiger, one of the youngest survivors of the experience.
