Women’s Philanthropy of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation will hold an event that will teach local Jews how to uncover their ancestry. Artist and genealogist Susan Weinberg, whose knowledge of genealogy stems from her own family search, will speak 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25 at the Ridgedale Public Library, 12601 Ridgedale Dr., Minnetonka.
Weinberg will present an introduction to Jewish genealogy, and provide various methods and advice on how to locate living relatives and uncover the lives of ancestors. She will also offer genealogy research services for those seeking to document their own family history.
The cost for this event is $10. To make a reservation, contact Dana Rubin, assistant campaign director, at 952-417-2344 or: drubin@mplsfed.org, or visit: www.jewishminneapolis.org/calendar.
