“Kaddish for Cookie” (below), by Minneapolis artist Pamela Gaard, is one of the works in an art exhibit, S’lichot: Redemption, Reconciliation and Rebirth, on display through Sept. 30 in the Jacobs Room at Temple Israel, Minneapolis. The art show curated by Paige Dansinger also includes works by Rachel Breen, Sara Belleau, Mirjana Mladinov and Stuart Klipper. The diverse works in the exhibit — which runs from Selichot to Sukkot — evoke the idea of soul-searching and repentance, and celebrate “creation and the Heavenly One’s sovereignty over a world full of possibility,” according to Dansinger. — M.S.
