TCJewfolk.com is designed to keep young, and not-so-young, Jews informed and engaged

What do Madonna, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Orthodox rabbis, AIPAC and rustic apple tarts have in common? All five have been the subject of recent articles on TC Jewfolk, the hip new blog shaking up the Twin Cities’ Jewish scene.
TC Jewfolk is an online community for Twin Cities Jews in their 20s, 30s and 40s to get information about everything from upcoming events, to Jewish political and cultural news, to suggestions for the best place in Minneapolis and Saint Paul to get pareve desserts. The blog officially launched this month, and features daily news stories, weekly Jewish food and advice columns, and editorials by local Jewish writers.
Within the next two months, TC Jewfolk will announce new columns including their “Alef” List of must-see local Jewish events, Jdate Diaries column featuring anonymous community submissions of Twin Cities Jewish dating successes and horror stories, and monthly shul reviews following the writers’ attendance at Shabbat services around the Twin Cities (synagogue members and other attendees will be encouraged to add their two cents to the comments section of each post).

For those who have not yet been invited to read or subscribe to a blog, here is your invitation. Unlike traditional media, blogs like TC Jewfolk allow the reader to interact through discussion and debate in the public comments. TC Jewfolk also cultivates community interaction through the use of local guest columnists.

TC Jewfolk is not affiliated with any Jewish organization and is entirely volunteer run. Contributing writers include local Jewish playwright Jenna Zark, Jewish educator Sean Herstein, and Mount Zion Noazim coordinator and food blogger Sara Rice.
