Event kicks off Mount Sinai Community Foundation’s 2014 Giving Circle
Jeffrey Kahn, a professor of Bioethics at Johns Hopkins University, will be the keynote speaker at the Mount Sinai Community Foundation Giving Circle’s kick-off event on Nov. 7. The event will be held at Beth El Synagogue, 5225 Barry St. W., St. Louis Park.
Kahn is expected to speak about a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision which declared patents on human genes unconstitutional, genetic information and its uses, and the effects on our future health.
Star Tribune columnist and local author Gail Rosenblum will moderate the evening’s program. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Tickets cost $10 in advance and $15 at the door. To order tickets, visit www.jewishminneapolis.org/mscf.aspx or call 952-593-2600.
The event will benefit the Mount Sinai Community Foundation Giving Circle, which annually grants funds to local non-profits. In 2013, $48,000 was granted to six organizations.
