Sha’arim will celebrate 14 years of providing meaningful Jewish education to children and young adults with special needs at “Gateways to Learning,” its annual Chinese Auction, on Sunday, Jan. 27 at the Sabes JCC, 4330 Cedar Lake Rd. S., St. Louis Park. The auction and buffet will begin at 6 p.m., followed by raffle drawings at 8 p.m.
Also at the event, Sha’arim will honor Jeff and Lisa Bernstein with the Pioneering Spirit of Sha’arim Award; Joel Seltz with the Pillar of Loving Kindness Award; and Ari Dorfman with the Friends ’N Fun Volunteer of the Year Award.
Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on more than 50 prizes — from iPods and laptops to cash and cameras — in the Chinese Auction, including the super grand prize: a trip for two to Israel. There will also be a jackpot raffle, a split the pot drawing and door prizes.
