Louis Lapat’s documentary, Win or Lose: A Summer Camp Story, will have its Minnesota premiere as part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival 7:45 p.m. Friday, April 17 at the St. Anthony Main, 115 Main St., Minneapolis. The film is a character driven, personal documentary about boys at Camp Ojibwa in Eagle River, Wisc., who push themselves to win an ultra-competitive event called Collegiate Week.
According to a press release, “competition at Camp Ojibwa teaches kids how to lose. It’s a hard but important lesson to learn.” The film has already won awards at the Wisconsin Film Festival and will be premiering on PBS later this year. After the screening, Lapat will be present for a question-and-answer session. For information on the film, visit: www.winorlosemovie.com or see the calendar listing on Page 6. — E.E.
