Israeli clarinet virtuoso Anat Cohen returns to the Dakota Jazz Club and Restaurant in Minneapolis for two shows, 7 and 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10. Tickets are $25.
Cohen’s new album, Claroscuro, is a gem. Here’s a video about the new CD:
Anat Cohen talked on the phone today with the AJW, from her home in Brooklyn, and a story about her will appear in the newspaper’s print edition on Nov. 9. She will be playing songs from Claroscuro, with her ace quartet: Anat, clarinet and alto sax; Jason Lindner, piano; Joe Martin, bass; and Daniel Freedman, drums.
On the following night, Sunday, Nov. 11, Israeli superstar David Broza performs at 7 p.m. A feature story about Broza appeared in the Oct. 26 edition of the AJW.
For tickets, go to the Dakota’s Web site or call 612.332.1010. The club is located at 1010 Nicollet Ave., downtown Minneapolis.
