Footnote, written and directed by Joseph Cedar, and nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, is now available on Blu-ray and DVD from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film tells the story of a father and son, both professors, who have both committed their lives to Talmudic studies. Following a twist after the father, Eliezer, is chosen to receive the prestigious Israel Prize, his son, Uriel, must choose between the advancement of his career or his father’s. The video versions of Footnote include a Q&A with Cedar and a behind-the-scenes featurette on the making of the film. — E.E.B.
