Rabbi Howard Gorin, of Tikvat Israel in Rockville, Md., will be in the Twin Cities this weekend to celebrate with his sister and brother-in-law, Dr. Phyllis Gorin and Rabbi Morris Allen, on the occasion of their 25th anniversary with Beth Jacob Congregation in Mendota Heights.
While he is in town, Gorin, of Selah Books International, will be collecting books that are no longer needed or wanted from members of the local Jewish community. He specializes in “relieving individuals and institutions of the burden of finding new homes for no-longer-wanted Jewish books.”
Gorin will be in the Twin Cities Feb. 10-12. To arrange an appointment, e-mail: hdgorin49@gmail.com or call 301-518-5340.
Gorin’s work was written about in the New Jersey Jewish Standard and the Jewish Chronicle.
