Warm water aquatic therapy pool and state-of-the-art exercise equipment. Aquatic exercise programs, Arthritis Foundation classes, aquatic and land exercise, Tai Chi, pilates, yoga, massage therapy and 1:1 personal training. Therapy covered by many insurance plans, including Medicare. The center is available to Shaller Family Campus tenants and residents, and the greater St. Paul community. A safe, reliable, easy way for adults age 60 and older to get to a doctor’s appointment, friend’s house, grocery store and more, Deikel Transportation provides rides for registered participants who reside within most of Hennepin County.

The professional staff works closely with adults age 60 and older and their families to ensure safe, supported and independent living at home. Participants receive care coordination services, and have access to other services such as transportation, accompanied transportation, shopping assistance, homemaking, kosher Meals on Wheels, bathing and foot care.

NORC mobilizes the community to enable seniors to remain independent, healthy and safe in their own homes. NORC nurtures healthy aging and inspires residents of all ages to work toward that goal. The program also facilitates community ACT on Alzheimer’s dementia-friendly communities projects. Reverse mortgage counseling is available as well.

We offer several programs and services for older adults to help them remain in their homes and to live as independently as possible. Family consultations with a nurse and/or social worker are available with access to JFS mental health processionals as needed. Concerns that can be addressed include guidance with making long-term care decisions and plan; finding resources and support; deciding if it’s time to make a move to a more supported setting; and addressing disagreements in the family regarding roles and responsibilities for care. Staff includes bilingual Russian-English speaking case managers.

LEAP promotes meaningful activity, focused on decreasing symptoms of depression and improving one’s overall sense of well-being. We offer in-home screenings for depression in older adults, and work with individuals to develop personalized plans to improve their moods and help them feel better.

GLADS offers high-quality, personalized assistance to you or a loved one. Professionals with extensive experience in aging issues (nurses, social workers, and/or mental health practitioners) work with you and your loved one to develop individualized care plans based on in-home, comprehensive assessments. Staff provides ongoing monitoring of the plan with phone calls and visits to ensure that the needs of your loved one and family members are met. This includes providing communication with out-of-town care partners and family members to keep everyone involved.

A structured therapeutic program designed to promote well-being for older adults through social and health-related services during daytime hours in a secure, comfortable environment. This program offers comprehensive services that support vulnerable individuals and their families by assisting them in their desire to continue living in the home of their choice while benefiting from increased socialization with their neighbors in the community. The program is made up of a professional team that promotes healthy living and personal independence. Days include music and therapeutic activities, nutritious meals and daily exercise program.

The Sabes JCC offers a range of programs and classes for active older adults through a variety of fitness programs, enrichment classes, field trips, dicussion groups and social events. We offer kosher lunch three times a week, free Monday matinees, OLLI  classes (the U of M’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute), volunteer opportunities and more. In addition, the JCC’s VOICE program engagges and connects low income Russian speaking seniors thorugh events and  activities.
